Former Pakistan foreign minister and PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has reportedly suffered a health setback at Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail.
According to his lawyer, Barrister Taimur Malik, Qureshi suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed while walking inside his prison barrack on November 4.
He reportedly sustained injuries to his knee and arm after falling.
The lawyer said jail authorities collected Qureshi’s blood samples and sent them to Shaukat Khanum Hospital for testing.
On the advice of Dr Yasmin Rashid, his legal team is also seeking a CT scan and further medical treatment.
His lawyer says a legal application will be filed to ensure a review of his medical condition and access to necessary healthcare.
The latest development has raised fresh concerns about the former foreign minister’s health in custody.
