LAHORE, November 5, 2026: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has reportedly received a complaint regarding fake AI-generated videos of a woman identified as Alisha Noor, who recently went viral on social media.
According to reports, Alisha Noor attracted widespread attention after videos surfaced showing her alongside popular Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt during court appearances. The videos quickly gained popularity, and social media accounts using her name reportedly attracted a large number of followers.
However, it was later claimed that the character of Alisha Noor was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and does not represent a real practising lawyer. The content allegedly portrayed the AI-generated character as an actual legal professional, potentially misleading social media users.
Complaint Submitted to NCCIA
According to reports, a lawyer has submitted a formal complaint to the NCCIA, urging authorities to investigate the individuals allegedly involved in creating, managing and promoting social media accounts associated with Alisha Noor.
The complaint raises concerns that presenting a fictional AI-generated woman in professional lawyers’ attire could affect the dignity and reputation of the legal profession, particularly female lawyers.
Concerns Over Misuse of Artificial Intelligence
The complaint also highlights growing concerns about the misuse of AI technology on social media platforms. With modern AI tools, realistic images and videos can be created that make fictional personalities appear genuine.
Such content can potentially mislead the public, create confusion about identities and damage the credibility of professional institutions.
Demand for Investigation and Legal Action
The complainant has urged the NCCIA to examine the relevant social media accounts and videos, identify the individuals behind the content and take appropriate legal action if any violations are established.
The incident has also sparked broader questions about digital responsibility, transparency and the ethical use of artificial intelligence in Pakistan.
As of the latest available reports, a complaint has reportedly been submitted to the NCCIA. However, the allegations have yet to be established through an official investigation, and no confirmed findings against the individuals involved have been publicly announced.
