On the occasion of Eid ul Adha, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held phone calls with leaders from various Muslim countries. The discussions focused on exchanging Eid greetings and briefly touching upon regional matters, including the recent tensions between Pakistan and India.

In his call with Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, both sides exchanged greetings and expressed interest in deepening bilateral ties, particularly in trade. The leaders also acknowledged Qatar’s role during the recent regional developments.

With Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the conversation covered cooperation in areas like trade, culture, and humanitarian concerns such as the situation in Gaza. Pakistan appreciated Malaysia’s balanced approach during the regional crisis.

In his discussion with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, PM Shehbaz shared Eid wishes and noted Tajikistan’s neutral stance in regional matters.

The call with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev included thanks for recent hospitality and discussions about upcoming summits and future cooperation.

These interactions were primarily focused on diplomacy and seasonal goodwill. No controversial or confrontational language was used by any side. The emphasis remained on maintaining dialogue, mutual respect, and regional cooperation.
