Heavy downpours accompanied by strong winds have hit several cities across Sindh, causing low-lying areas to be flooded. Deputy Commissioner Zeen ul Abideen confirmed that a cloudburst occurred in Hyderabad city earlier today.

Torrential rains and gusts were recorded in Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro, Matiari, and Hala, resulting in waterlogging in vulnerable neighborhoods.

In Hyderabad, emergency alerts have been issued and efforts are underway to activate pumping stations. The Deputy Commissioner has also instructed the Irrigation Department to lower water levels in the Faqeili canal to zero. Due to power cuts, water removal is being managed using generators.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alerts have also been issued due to expected heavy rains and possible flash floods.

In the Hyderabad region, 220 feeders have tripped off, according to a spokesperson from the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO).

Rescue officials reported a tragic incident in the timber market, where a warehouse ceiling collapsed. One person has died and three others were injured.

In Tando Allahyar, the torrential rainfall and strong winds caused floods in residential areas, compounding the troubles for local residents.
