Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced the opening of admissions for the Spring Semester 2026 across Pakistan, offering academic programs from Matriculation to PhD level, according to an official press release issued on Sunday.
The admissions process will begin on January 1, 2026, and will be open to students from all four provinces, as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other northern areas. The university has also extended selected programs to Pakistanis living abroad and international students.
AIOU stated that admission forms and prospectuses for all programs will be available online through the university’s official website from the start of the admission schedule, enabling applicants to apply from home.
To further facilitate students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood has directed the establishment of Student Facilitation Centers at all 53 regional offices before the commencement of admissions. These centers will provide guidance to applicants and offer free access to computers and the internet for completing online applications.
According to the university, these initiatives aim to simplify the admission process and ensure maximum support for students across the country.
