Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will launch a three-month Russian language course in November 2025 in partnership with the Center for International Cooperation under Russia’s Ministry of Education.

The program will be offered at the Russian Open Education Center on AIOU’s main campus in Islamabad, where a qualified Russian instructor will deliver face-to-face classes three days a week. Each session is scheduled to last three hours.

According to AIOU, the course structure includes continuous assessments and a final examination. Participants who successfully complete all requirements will receive an official certificate, which may assist in applications for Master’s and PhD scholarships in Russia and Central Asian countries.

The university clarified that it will not provide accommodation, travel, or refreshments, and candidates must manage these arrangements on their own. The fee for the full program is Rs. 5,000.

AIOU has made the online application form available for interested applicants.
