KARACHI- The Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT), joined the rest of Pakistan diligently in celebrating the 78th Independence Day with fervor, patriotism and colourful celebrations. The ceremony was filled with activities of hoisting of flags, singing of national anthems and speeches in memory of martyrs and armed forces in the country.
It had the Chairman GB AIT Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, hon. General Secretary Dr. Jafar Nazir Usmani and Principal Shahid Jamil doing the ceremonial functions. The event was hosted by the Vice Principal Syed Rehan Ali who recited the poems of Iqbal Azeem to motivate the students.
The winning speech in All-Pakistan Speech Competition, given by Sheikh Ramish also was a rousing one and Safa Jamal and Faizan Sultan were also presented shields on their performance. Other participants were given certificates.
The event was culminated by prayers and vow to the development, unity, and prosperity of Pakistan.
