Veteran Bollywood star Anil Kapoor landed in hot waters on social media after extending “Eid Mubarak” wishes to Muslims on platform X.

The actor’s post, containing a short prayer along with his greetings, went viral and crossed 1.8 million views.

Soon after, users began questioning the timing of his message, with some humorously commenting, “Which Eid is being celebrated today?” while others responded by wishing him “Ramadan Mubarak.”

According to reports, Kapoor intended to greet the Muslim community on the occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, observed as Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ. However, his choice of words created confusion, making him a subject of trolling.

Despite the slip, many followers appreciated his warm gesture and gently corrected him in the replies.
