Lahore, September 7, 2025 — Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sheharbano Naqvi has been nominated for the prestigious Asia 21 Next Generation Fellowship 2025, an initiative of the Asia Society that recognizes outstanding young leaders worldwide.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, ASP Naqvi has been selected in acknowledgment of her remarkable services in safeguarding vulnerable communities and her dedication to marginalized groups. This milestone makes her the first female police officer from Pakistan to achieve such recognition.

The Asia 21 Next Generation Summit will be held in Manila, Philippines, from December 5 to 7, 2025, bringing together leaders from 27 countries to share strategies and solutions for pressing global challenges.

Punjab Inspector General of Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated ASP Naqvi, praising her leadership qualities as a reflection of the potential of Pakistan’s police force on the international stage. He expressed hope that her achievement would inspire future generations of law enforcement officers.

The Punjab Police spokesperson added that Asia Society remains committed to empowering changemakers and fostering leadership aligned with modern global standards.
