Gaza’s civil defence agency reported on Sunday that at least 14 people, including three children, were killed due to Israeli airstrikes and gunfire across various parts of the Gaza Strip.
According to civil defence spokesperson Mahmud Bassal, 13 fatalities occurred in separate Israeli air raids at four different locations, while one additional person was killed by gunfire near an aid distribution centre.
In response, the Israeli military informed AFP that it could not comment on the specific incidents. However, it reiterated that its ongoing operations aim “to dismantle Hamas military capabilities” as part of the military campaign initiated in 2023.
Due to stringent restrictions on media access in Gaza and the ongoing conflict, AFP noted it could not independently verify the reported death toll or specific incident details shared by rescue personnel.
