The Balochistan government has launched a large-scale IT skills development program to equip youth with modern digital training and boost employment opportunities across the province. The initiative was announced by Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai during an event attended by youth, tribal elders, and political figures.
Under the program, over 800 young men and women will receive phased IT training in partnership with Saylani Welfare Trust. The Social Welfare Department is providing facilities and resources for the 10-month course, while a separate batch of 50 differently-abled students has been enrolled to ensure inclusive digital education.
Officials say the training initiative aims to enhance digital literacy, prepare youth for online and remote jobs, and promote dignified, self-reliant employment. Noorzai credited Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s public-focused vision for the project and stressed the role of parents, teachers, scholars, and community leaders in shaping the future generation.
Expressing confidence in the program’s impact, Noorzai said the government remains committed to supporting youth with training, business opportunities, and incentives to build a prosperous future for Balochistan.
