Cement prices in Pakistan remained elevated on August 8, 2026, with the average retail price of a standard 50kg cement bag reported at around Rs1,500 to Rs1,610, depending on the brand, location and local market conditions.
Recent market data indicates that cement prices can vary considerably between cities and brands. Online construction-material listings in July showed ordinary Portland cement (OPC) generally around Rs1,430–Rs1,510 per 50kg bag, while sulphate-resistant cement was priced somewhat higher.
Current Cement Price Range
| Cement category | Approx. price per 50kg bag |
|---|---|
| General/OPC cement | Rs1,500–Rs1,610 |
| Premium/brand-specific cement | Around Rs1,500+ |
| SRC cement | Generally higher than OPC |
| White cement | Around Rs2,500 in some listings |
Retail rates may differ according to city, brand, dealer, transportation costs and supply conditions, so the price at a particular construction site may not exactly match the national indicative range.
The cement market is also being supported by stronger domestic demand. Pakistan’s cement dispatches increased 6% year-on-year in July 2026 to 4.476 million tonnes, with domestic sales rising 17.28%, although exports declined by around 30%.
The increase in domestic demand is important for the price outlook because stronger construction activity can support cement sales and influence retail prices. Transportation and energy costs also remain important factors in determining the final price paid by consumers.
For people planning construction or renovation projects, the current cement rate means that changes of even Rs50–Rs100 per bag can have a noticeable impact on the overall construction budget, particularly for projects requiring several hundred bags.
