BAGHERIA, Sicily — Pop superstar Dua Lipa has officially unveiled the highly anticipated details of her spectacular couture bridal wardrobe following her three-day wedding celebration to British actor Callum Turner at an 18th-century Sicilian estate.
The couple, who legally wed during a private civil ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London on May 31, 2026, flew an inner circle of 200 to 300 A-list guests—including Sir Elton John, Charli XCX, and Donatella Versace—to Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, near Palermo. The historic estate, frequently described as a “little Versailles,” served as the backdrop for a sprawling celebration captured by legendary fashion photographer David Sims.
For the main ceremony on June 6, Lipa wore a breathtaking, custom Chanel Haute Couture gown designed by Matthieu Blazy. The garment marked a historic milestone as Blazy’s very first haute couture wedding dress design, executed specifically for Lipa as a close friend of the French fashion house. Crafting the white, crystal, and feather-embellished gown inside Chanel’s historic ateliers at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris required over 4,000 hours of collective labor.
The intricate construction metrics included no fewer than 480,000 meticulously hand-sewn beads by the specialists at Atelier Montex, alongside illusionistic jewelry designs that demanded 1,155 hours of delicate needlework by Maison Lesage. Lipa paired the plunging halter-neck, open-back gown with custom white satin pumps by Massaro and a striking six-meter-long tulle veil. The veil alone demanded an additional 3,000-plus working hours to embroider its delicate pattern of feathers, beads, and hand-cut organza birds and flowers. The groom complemented her look in a sharp, custom black Louis Vuitton tuxedo accented with satin lapels and a vibrant red floral boutonniere.
The high-fashion weekend kicked off with an equally notable sartorial statement for the welcome party on June 5. Pivoting away from traditional bridal constraints, Lipa wore a custom, open-back ivory Bottega Veneta halter dress featuring an embellished feathered train, curated by stylist Louise Trotter. The weekend’s wardrobe highlights Lipa’s unique cross-house position within the upper echelons of the fashion industry, arriving just months after she was named the face of Chanel’s “25” handbag campaign.
