Karachi: Met Office warns of high waves and strong winds as low-pressure system intensifies in Arabian Sea.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning for fishermen in Sindh, urging them to refrain from deep-sea activities until October 3 due to hazardous sea conditions.
Officials stated that a well-marked low-pressure system is active in the northeast Arabian Sea, roughly 310 kilometers southeast of Karachi, near India’s Saurashtra coast in Gujarat.
The system is projected to strengthen into a depression within 12 hours and is likely to move westward, gradually tracking towards the west and southwest. Authorities have emphasized caution, noting that strong winds and high waves could pose risks for those venturing into deeper waters.
