Karachi: Police arrested five suspects and recovered weapons, cash, and stolen valuables during separate encounters with street criminals in various parts of the city.
According to officials, in Memon Goth, police signaled two men on a motorcycle to stop, but they opened fire. In the ensuing exchange, one suspect identified as Laldin was injured and arrested, while his accomplice managed to flee. Police recovered a pistol and cash from his possession.
In another incident in Bhains Colony, two suspects, identified as Haseeb and Naveed, were injured and taken into custody following a brief encounter with police.
Similarly, Jackson Police apprehended two suspects, including one injured, during an encounter. The suspects, identified as Muhammad Qasim and Badshah, were found in possession of two pistols, two stolen motorcycles, and several mobile phones.
Police stated that all arrested individuals were involved in multiple criminal activities, and further investigations are underway.
