RAWALPINDI: Outgoing Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has urged Pakistan’s armed forces to adopt a coordinated and unified strategy to tackle rapidly evolving security challenges.
In his farewell address at the Joint Staff Headquarters, Gen Sahir said the world is transforming at an unprecedented pace, directly impacting Pakistan’s internal and external security environment. He warned that threats now range from hybrid warfare to full-scale conflict, demanding stronger inter force coordination and a clear, unified purpose.
He stressed that integrated planning is no longer optional but an institutional necessity to meet modern warfare demands. The armed forces, he added, must strengthen their preparedness with empowered structures and forward-looking strategies.
Gen Mirza concluded by offering best wishes to the military especially the Joint Staff Headquarters encouraging them to carry out their duties with integrity and determination as they navigate new challenges.
