Gold prices rebounded in Pakistan on Wednesday, ending a three-day downward trend as international bullion rates registered a significant increase. In the international market, gold gained $43 per ounce, reaching $4,191.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold in Pakistan increased by Rs4,300 per tola, reaching Rs441,636. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs3,686 to Rs378,631.
Silver also recorded gains in the domestic market. Its price increased by Rs20 per tola to Rs6,578, while the price of 10 grams climbed by Rs17 to Rs5,639. Wednesday’s recovery followed two consecutive sessions of declining gold prices in Pakistan.
On Tuesday, the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs800 per tola to Rs437,336, while the rate for 10 grams decreased by Rs686 to Rs374,945. Silver also witnessed a decline of Rs20 per tola, settling at Rs6,558.
The market experienced a sharper decline on Monday, when gold prices fell by Rs12,800 per tola to Rs438,136. The price of 10 grams decreased by Rs10,973 to Rs375,631. Silver followed a similar trend, losing Rs325 per tola to close at Rs6,578. Earlier, on Saturday, gold had settled at Rs450,936 per tola following a decline of Rs2,100 during the trading session.
