Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has urged opposition parties to support a nationwide “Charter of Economy,” saying political consensus is necessary to ensure sustainable economic growth and stability.
Addressing the media, the minister said Pakistan’s economic future should rise above political differences. He stressed that all political forces must work together to improve investor confidence, strengthen institutions, and support long-term financial reforms.
Defending the proposed FY27 federal budget, the minister stated that the government has prioritized inflation control, economic recovery, development spending, and public relief initiatives. He added that the budget was designed according to current economic challenges and public expectations.
The minister also highlighted improvements in several economic indicators, including easing inflation and stronger foreign exchange reserves. He called on the opposition to play a constructive role in supporting policies aimed at stabilizing the economy and promoting national progress.
