The Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) has inaugurated a state of the art cardiac catheterization laboratory (Cath Lab), marking a major advancement in healthcare facilities for the citizens.

‎Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab attended the inauguration ceremony and termed this initiative by the institute as a positive step for the citizens. The new Cath Lab is equipped with advanced features such as high resolution 3D imaging, fluoroscopy, real time data monitoring, and low radiation technology.

‎These features will make angiography and angioplasty procedures safer, faster, and more efficient. Executive Director Professor Riffat Sultana said that this advanced machine will provide treatment for heart patients in accordance with international standards, eliminating the need for patients to travel abroad for medical care.

‎The hospital administration stated that this machine will reduce stress on patients while providing doctors with quick and accurate results. According to experts, this initiative is a revolutionary step forward in the field of healthcare for patients in Karachi and the entire region.
