The United States has launched its 10th consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran, targeting military facilities in southern Iran, including areas near Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Chabahar, Konarak, and Sirik. The strikes are part of a campaign aimed at weakening Iran’s military capabilities and protecting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks on U.S.-linked military sites in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. Kuwaiti air defenses intercepted several incoming projectiles as regional tensions continued to escalate.
U.S. President Donald Trump warned that Iran would “pay many times over” for attacks that killed American service members, while Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the country is engaged in a “full-scale war.”
The conflict has increased concerns about the security of the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil shipping route, causing oil prices to rise and raising fears of a wider regional war.
