KU VC Visits Flood Relief Camp, Urges National Solidarity

Karachi: Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, paid a visit to the KU Students Advisor Office flood relief camp on Thursday to give relief to flood victims.

He went through donated goods such as food, clothes and medicines and applauded the efforts of faculty, staff, and student volunteers doing relief work. Dr Iraqi made it clear that it is a national and moral responsibility to assist fellow citizens during crisis.

The camp, which has been established in front of the KU Gym on Monday, is collecting the necessary supplies which will be sent on Friday evening via the Edhi foundation.

Advisor Dr Nosheen Raza Khan of students informed of an ever-growing contribution with the active involvement of faculty and students.

The KU VC himself promoted volunteering and recruited all divisions in the university to contribute to the cause saying that the project is in the spirit of the KU that cares and takes responsibility outside of academics.
