The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced plans to replace the current paper rechecking procedure with a new re-marking system aimed at ensuring greater transparency and fairness in exam evaluation.
Controller of Examinations Tausif ur Rehman stated that the proposal will be implemented after receiving approval from the provincial cabinet. He explained that under the existing rechecking process, only the counting of marks and identification of unmarked questions are reviewed. The new re-marking system, however, will allow a more thorough reassessment of answer scripts.
According to Rehman, the initiative follows directions from the provincial education minister, and the board has already begun preparations for its implementation. The move is expected to address student complaints more effectively and enhance trust in the examination system.
Meanwhile, the controller of examinations also announced that Intermediate Part-I result cards have been uploaded to the board’s website. Students can now download their result cards online, which will be considered valid for admission to educational institutions.
