LAHORE – A significant development has emerged in the Ameer Balaj murder case as the Lahore Sessions Court has cancelled the interim bail of Aqeel alias Gogi Butt. The court dismissed the bail plea due to non-prosecution, while the case remains registered at Chuhang Police Station. Despite having interim bail approved until today, Gogi Butt failed to appear before the court, leading to the cancellation.
Earlier, the prime suspect in the case, Khawaja Tareef Gulshan alias Taifi Butt, was reportedly killed in a police encounter in Rahim Yar Khan. Sources revealed that Taifi Butt was being shifted to Lahore when his accomplices allegedly tried to free him in Kot Sabzal, Sadiqabad area. According to police, during the attempted escape, Taifi Butt was fatally shot by his own associates in the crossfire.
