KARACHI – A 40-year-old man was found brutally murdered inside his residence in Madina Colony, police confirmed on Friday.
According to police officials, the victim was killed with a sharp-edged weapon, apparently by having his throat slit. SHO Madina Colony, Iftikhar Tanoli, said police received information about a body discovered inside a house near Galaxy Grammar School, Azeemaabad, on Baldia Tipu Sultan Road. A police team reached the spot and shifted the body to the Civil Hospital Trauma Center for postmortem.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Yousuf, son of Allah Ditta. Preliminary investigations revealed that Yousuf lived alone in the house and worked at a private loom factory in the SITE area along with his relative Aslam, both originally from Gojra, Punjab.
Police said Aslam returned home after his night shift and discovered Yousuf’s throat-slit body lying inside the room. He immediately informed the police.
Officials added that the victim was married and his family resides in Gojra. The police have informed his relatives and launched an investigation to determine the motive and identify the perpetrators. Efforts are underway to arrest those involved in the gruesome killing.
