Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met senior religious leader Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman and other Sunni scholars in Karachi to discuss concerns raised by the clerical community. The meeting, also attended by Sindh ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon and Nasir Hussain Shah, focused on strengthening coordination between the government and religious leaders.

Naqvi assured the scholars that all issues would be addressed on a priority basis and reaffirmed that the government would not interfere in mosque or madrasa affairs. Both sides agreed to hold a follow-up meeting in Islamabad and appoint a focal person for continuous communication.

Those present included Allama Muzaffar Shah, Mufti Abid Mubarak, Allama Liaqat Hussain Azhari, Allama Rehan Azhar Naumani, Mufti Rafiur Rehman Noorani, Allama Ashraf Gormani, and Allama Ahmad Rabbani.
