On the 11th of Dhu al-Qadah, the birth anniversary of Imam Ali al-Ridha is celebrated with devotion and respect. On this occasion, Shia communities and admirers of Ahl al-Bayt around the world organize special gatherings, religious assemblies, and prayer ceremonies. Mosques, Imambargahs, and homes are decorated with lights, while gatherings of naats, manqabats, and salutations are also held.
Imam Ali al-Ridha is regarded as a symbol of knowledge, piety, patience, and humanity. Due to his exceptional wisdom and scholarly status, he is often referred to as “The Scholar of the Family of Muhammad (PBUH).” His teachings emphasize tolerance, justice, morality, and service to humanity, which is why Muslims around the world hold deep respect and devotion for him.
On the occasion of this blessed birth anniversary, arrangements for charity meals and offerings are made in mosques and Imambargahs across Pakistan. During Milad gatherings, religious scholars deliver speeches highlighting the life, character, and teachings of Imam Ali al-Ridha to familiarize the younger generation with religious and moral values.
