Monkeypox Case Reported in Pakistan

‎A monkeypox case has been reported in the country as a 42 year old patient arrived in Islamabad from Dubai.

‎According to sources from the National Institute of Health, the 42 year old patient belongs to Attock and had traveled from Dubai to Islamabad on August 15.

‎Sources stated that BHS staff confirmed monkeypox symptoms in the passenger, and due to the presence of symptoms, the patient was shifted from the airport to PIMS.

‎According to sources, the National Institute of Health confirmed monkeypox in the patient on August 18. The patient has been kept in home isolation.
