The Punjab government has announced revised winter timings for all public and private schools across the province, effective from October 16, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
According to the notification, single-shift male schools will operate from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM from Monday to Thursday, while Friday classes will conclude early at 12:30 PM. Single-shift female schools will start at 8:30 AM and close at 2:30 PM, with Friday timings set from 8:30 AM to 12:15 PM.
For double-shift schools, morning sessions for male institutions will run from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM Monday through Thursday and end at 12:30 PM on Fridays. The afternoon or evening shifts will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM, with Friday classes scheduled from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Similarly, female double-shift schools will operate their morning shifts from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM Monday to Thursday and until 12:15 PM on Fridays. Their afternoon sessions will be held from 12:45 PM to 4:45 PM on regular days and 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM on Fridays.
The new schedule aims to adjust school hours according to seasonal changes and ensure student comfort during the winter months.
