Pakistan–China friendship has been termed essential for peace, stability and prosperity in the region and in both countries during the Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) spokesperson, the seventh round of the Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue took place in Beijing. All aspects of bilateral relations between Pakistan and China came under comprehensive review. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar jointly presided over the dialogue with his Chinese counterpart.
The FO spokesperson said that key regional and global issues came under discussion during the dialogue. Cooperation in various fields, including CPEC, trade and multilateral engagement, also featured in the talks. Both sides described Pakistan–China friendship as indispensable for peace, stability and prosperity in the region and in both countries.
The statement said both sides agreed to enhance close contact and coordination at bilateral and multilateral forums. The two leaders also agreed to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in a befitting manner.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Chinese Executive Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthen the Pakistan–China strategic partnership. Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang appreciated Pakistan’s consistent support for China.
Both leaders highlighted the historic importance of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations and agreed to use this milestone to promote cooperation, including the effective implementation of CPEC. The Chinese vice premier conveyed New Year greetings to the leadership and people of Pakistan.
