Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, during which he strongly condemned the recent Houthi attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea, describing them as “unacceptable” and a serious threat to regional peace and global maritime security.

During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed Pakistan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to maintaining peace, stability, and the free flow of international trade through key maritime routes.

The two leaders discussed the evolving security situation in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and prevent further escalation. They also reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and maintaining close coordination on regional and international issues.

Prime Minister Shehbaz underscored that attacks targeting commercial shipping not only endanger innocent lives but also disrupt global supply chains and international commerce. Both leaders agreed to continue working together to promote peace, stability, and economic cooperation in the region.
