Islamabad: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the establishment of a new MDCAT test centre to facilitate candidates appearing in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, aiming to improve accessibility and ease the examination process for aspiring medical students.
According to PMDC, the newly established test centre in Islamabad will primarily accommodate candidates from Balochistan, reducing travel difficulties and ensuring easier access to the examination. The initiative is part of the council’s efforts to make the admission process more convenient for students across the country.
In addition, the Punjab government has approved three new MDCAT centres in Mianwali, Layyah, and Bahawalnagar to accommodate the increasing number of applicants and ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.
PMDC has confirmed that the MDCAT 2026 examination will be held on August 16, 2026, while the online registration process has already begun. Candidates have been advised to complete their registration within the announced deadlines and carefully follow the examination guidelines issued by the council.
The council urged aspiring medical and dental students to regularly visit the official PMDC website for updates regarding registration, admit cards, examination centres, and other important announcements related to MDCAT 2026.
