Pakistan has successfully completed a special polio vaccination campaign across 79 districts, according to health officials.
During the campaign, millions of children were administered polio drops to protect them from the virus and help prevent its spread. Authorities said the drive marks an important step toward the country’s goal of completely eradicating polio.
With support from the government and the World Health Organization (WHO), Pakistan regularly conducts national and sub-national immunization campaigns, reaching children door-to-door, especially in high-risk areas.
Health experts emphasized that repeated vaccination drives are essential because the virus still exists in some regions, making full immunization of every child critical.
Officials have urged parents to ensure their children receive polio drops in all upcoming campaigns so that Pakistan can move closer to becoming polio-free.
