In a significant step toward the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister, the practical launch of free kidney transplant services has begun at Jinnah Hospital.
A successful kidney transplant operation was carried out at Jinnah Hospital Lahore, marking the first transplant after receiving a license from the Punjab Healthcare Commission.
Twenty three year old patient Irfan received a kidney donation from his maternal aunt. Both the patient and the donor are reported to be in satisfactory condition and are recovering rapidly.
Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College Dr Tayyaba Wasim congratulated the urology department team on achieving this major success.
