Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the introduction of Japan’s advanced healthcare and hospital management system in the province to modernize hospitals and improve patient care.
During her visit to Japan’s National Center for Global Health, she reviewed modern equipment, treatment methods, and management systems. She also unveiled plans for the Nawaz Sharif Medical District, modeled on Japan’s healthcare system, with smart infrastructure and patient-centered services.
The Punjab government will collaborate with Japanese researchers for advanced solutions in chronic and infectious diseases such as diabetes, liver problems, and viral infections. Health experts say the initiative could transform Punjab’s healthcare by bringing evidence-based practices, digital health tools, and specialized treatment centers.
