SPLA Criticizes Police Raid on the Peaceful Protest of Teachers

Karachi, June 30, 2025 The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) has bitterly criticized the use of tear gas and baton charge of the police and their arrests on a peaceful protest rally of teachers under the banner of Sindh Employees Alliance.

The SPLA leaders headed by President Munawar Abbas and Secretary General Ghulam Mustafa Kaka and other high officials like Prof. Mushtaq Phulpoto, Muhammad Adeel Khawaja, Rasool Bux Razi and Dr. Malhar Sindhi came up with a joint statement condemning the police action on the educators who were protesting seeking salary and Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) increase.

The association has demanded PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to step in urgently, the release of arrested teachers and acknowledge to their justifiable demands.
