Two men were killed in Karachi within hours of each other on Tuesday, marking another violent day in the city. Police reported separate fatal shootings in Sohrab Goth and Bhains Colony, though officials say the incidents appear unrelated.

In the first incident, unidentified gunmen targeted a man near the Al-Asif Square area of Sohrab Goth. Witnesses said the attackers approached on a motorcycle, fired multiple rounds at close range, and fled into the heavy evening traffic. The victim died on the spot before help could arrive. Police cordoned off the area to collect shell casings, but they haven’t identified a motive yet.

Hours later, violence erupted in Bhains Colony. Investigators say an argument between two groups escalated into a shootout. One man was killed, while another was rushed to a nearby medical facility with critical injuries.

Local police stations are treating both cases as priority investigations. In Bhains Colony, officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby businesses to identify those involved in the altercation. Sohrab Goth remains a high-alert zone as detectives look for leads on the gunmen who escaped the scene.

These shootings follow a string of similar incidents across Karachi, where street crime and personal disputes often turn lethal. As of Wednesday morning, no arrests have been made in either case, and families of the victims are awaiting the release of the bodies following post-mortem examinations.
