Shangla: In a touching display of filial devotion, four sons in Shangla district organized the wedding of their 90-year-old father, fulfilling his wish for companionship years after the passing of his first wife.
Maulana Saifullah, the elderly groom, was married in a heartfelt ceremony attended by family, friends, and members of the local community. The event, arranged entirely by his sons, included a nikah with a dowry of one tola of gold.
Shafiullah, one of the sons, told local media: “After our mother passed away, our father often spoke of his desire to remarry to ease his loneliness. We decided to help him achieve that wish.”
The celebration was attended by several generations of family, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Locals also joined in, praising the sons’ act of love and respect.
This uncommon but touching event challenges age-related stereotypes and underscores the enduring value of family bonds and emotional well-being, regardless of age.
