In view of the rising cases of dengue virus in Islamabad, the District Health Office has issued an alert, advising citizens to take precautionary measures.

‎According to the DHO spokesperson, 122 cases of dengue virus have been reported in the federal capital in recent days, with a majority of patients having recently traveled to Murree.

‎He stated that due to recent rains, water accumulation has led to an increase in dengue cases. Citizens have been instructed to ensure no water is left standing around their homes and to keep flowerpots, tanks, and containers covered.

‎The spokesperson further said that using mosquito nets and repellents is also essential for protection against dengue.
