“Lahore Floods: No Roofs Down, No Dams Broken, But Thousands Affected”

The Lahore district administration has released a detailed report on the damages caused by recent floods, confirming that more than 82,000 people and dozens of villages were impacted across the city’s five tehsils.

Lahore flood report: No roofs collapsed, dams intact, bridge unharmed; thousands displaced

A recent Lahore district administration report confirms that although massive flooding struck 26 villages across five tehsils affecting over 82,000 people, there were no collapses of roofs, no dams broken, and no bridges damaged.

Affected population:

82,952 people in total were impacted in Lahore.

Area hit:

26 villages across five tehsils — City (4 villages), Ravi (9), Allama Iqbal (5), Raiwind (7), and Wagah (1).

Casualties and injuries:

No deaths recorded. Three people sustained injuries. Evacuations and relief efforts:

7,888 people offered transport to safer locations.

36,658 people who were trapped in floodwaters were rescued and relocated.

Infrastructure status:Only one road suffered damage. There were no reports of roof collapses, dam failures, or damage to any bridges in the affected areas.

Medical and veterinary response:

17 medical camps set up, treating 16,967 people.

26 veterinary camps to safeguard livestock; 18,921 animals treated, 13,621 relocated.
