The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast predicting rainfall in several regions of the country over the next few days, including Islamabad. While most areas are expected to remain hot and dry, certain northern and hilly regions may experience showers accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.

Light rain is expected in Islamabad, with nearby cities such as Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Murree, and Galliyat also likely to receive rainfall. The Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir are predicted to see partly cloudy conditions with scattered rain.

Other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Kohat, Charsadda, Dir, Chitral, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Mohmand, Nowshera, Mardan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, and Waziristan, are also expected to witness rainfall over the coming days. Meanwhile, Gilgit-Baltistan may experience scattered showers with thunder, and Azad Kashmir could see rain with gusty winds and lightning at a few locations.

Along the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan, partly cloudy skies are forecast, while flood-affected districts in Sindh and Punjab are likely to remain hot and dry throughout the week. During the past 24 hours, most parts of Pakistan experienced predominantly hot and dry weather conditions.
