Sindh’s Senior Minister and Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s remarks about seeking international aid for flood victims were directed at the federal government, not any provincial administration.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Memon said: “Whenever Bilawal praises the Prime Minister, Punjab’s government seems to take issue with it.”

He added that Sindh has appealed to the federal government to engage the IMF and the international community for flood relief. “Bilawal spoke to the federation, asking them to request foreign assistance for flood-affected families,” Memon clarified.

Highlighting the provincial government’s efforts, he said Sindh will spend over Rs55 billion on a farmer support package, benefitting more than 404,000 farmers. “Bilawal’s policy is aimed at strengthening farmers, workers, and the poor. Food security requires supporting our farmers,” he stressed.

According to Memon, PPP is not doing politics over floods but standing with Punjab in this difficult time. He added that Sindh has launched a program for wheat cultivation on 2.2 million acres, is building 2.1 million houses, and has also introduced an online complaint system. He noted that schemes such as the Pink Scooty project are still active.
