Increase in the Number of Patients Suffering from Various Types of Fever in Karachi

The number of patients suffering from various types of fever has increased in Karachi. According to media reports, Dr. Irfan Siddiqui, In charge of the Emergency Department at Civil Hospital Karachi, stated that the number of patients suffering from viral fever has increased by 15 to 20 percent.

‎Dr. Irfan Siddiqui said that around 300 cases of seasonal fever, malaria, and dengue are being reported daily at Civil Hospital, while Jinnah Hospital is also receiving more than 100 fever patients every day.

‎The Emergency In charge of Civil Hospital advised citizens to take precautionary measures to prevent illness, urging them to avoid unhygienic food, wear masks, and adopt the habit of frequent handwashing.

‎He further stated that dirt and pollution are also major causes of fever and infections, and particularly advised that affected individuals should not use antibiotics without consulting a doctor.
