Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi declared that his party and provincial government will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pakistan Army if the country faces any act of aggression. Speaking informally to journalists in Peshawar, Afridi warned that anyone who attacks Pakistan — including across the border — will be met with a strong and fitting response. He also urged that KP be taken into confidence on policies related to Afghanistan and reiterated his government’s preference to avoid military operations inside the province.
