The Directorate of Drug Control Punjab has sounded the alarm against more than 15 medicines.
Fake medicines have been found being sold at medical stores in Punjab, after which the Directorate of Drug Control Punjab has issued a warning against over 15 drugs.
The Directorate of Drug Control Punjab stated that the medicines include those used for wounds, ear infections, pain relief after surgery, asthma, nasal allergies, pregnancy protection, high blood pressure, and heart pain.
The Drug Control Punjab has taken notice of the sale of substandard medicines for anemia and neurological disorders. In addition, antibiotics for animals, blood medicines, and antibiotic injection drugs have been found to be fake.
It has also been revealed that cough, itch, and heart rate increasing medicines in Punjab are not of standard quality. The Directorate of Drug Control has ordered the immediate return of the affected batches and directed medical stores and healthcare staff to immediately stop using the specified medicines.
