The risk of monkeypox has become serious in Lahore. Monkeypox has started spreading from one person to another within the city.

‎Laboratory tests have confirmed monkeypox in 2 patients under treatment at Mayo Hospital Lahore.

‎40 year old Safia and 45 year old Muhammad Asif have been diagnosed with monkeypox.

‎Despite the reporting of monkeypox cases, no quarantine ward has been arranged in any hospital, nor has the Specialized Healthcare Department so far been able to make arrangements to keep monkeypox patients in isolation.
