The second meeting of the Pakistan Nursing Council and Midwifery was held yesterday at the Ministry of Health in which important decisions were taken.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, during the meeting the process of electing the president and vice president was successfully completed, reflecting the commitment to further strengthen the administrative structure of the council.
In the meeting, five additional seats were unanimously approved for the Graduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the National University of Medical Sciences and Health. These seats have been allocated for the families of martyrs of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
According to officials, this decision will play a key role in supporting the families of national heroes. The meeting also emphasized that the nursing sector holds fundamental importance in the health system.
According to the Federal Minister of Health, reforms in the nursing sector are ongoing and efforts are being made to develop it on modern lines, while steps will continue to be taken to bring the council in line with international standards.
