RAWALPINDI — In a swift law enforcement operation, the Naseerabad Police in Rawalpindi have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl who is deaf and mute. Acting immediately on a formal complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) and took the suspect into custody. Following the arrest, the minor victim was shifted to a medical facility where necessary forensic and medical evaluations were completed to secure crucial evidence for the prosecution.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Potohar, Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan, stated that the investigation team is thoroughly compiling forensic and circumstantial data. He emphasized that the detained individual would be presented before the court with ironclad evidence to ensure maximum legal penalties. The SP reiterated that crimes involving sexual violence, assault, and harassment against women and children are intolerable violations, assuring that the police department remains dedicated to securing swift justice for the victim and her family.
