The Punjab Anti Corruption Department has taken Mayo Hospital Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Mudabbir Rehan into custody.
According to the Anti Corruption Department spokesperson, action against the Mayo Hospital MS was taken on the basis of an application filed by Dr. Ahmed Kamal.
The spokesperson stated that a video related to alleged corruption at Mayo Hospital had also surfaced, following which an investigation into the matter was initiated.
According to anti corruption officials, Dr. Mudabbir Rehan had been summoned for an inquiry but did not appear before the investigation team, after which he was taken into custody.
The spokesperson said that the investigation regarding the video related to the alleged corruption is ongoing, and further legal action will proceed in light of additional evidence.
