In the present era, it is commonly seen that many parents hand mobile phones to their young children to keep them busy and to avoid disruption to their own comfort. This practice is equivalent to harming their own children.

‎Giving mobile phones to young children, especially those under the age of five, for play is extremely harmful to their mental, physical, and psychological development.

‎In this regard, pediatric specialist Dr. Wasim Ahmed Jamalvi shared some important points and useful advice for mothers.

‎He said that the use of mobile phones by young children is highly damaging to their mental, physical, and psychological growth. It can lead to problems such as weak eyesight, lack of sleep, irritability, and delays in learning ability.

‎He added that a child always learns from their parents and the people around them, but unfortunately, many mothers hand over mobile phones to get some relief for themselves.

‎What is the solution to this concern?

‎He stated that, if possible, parents should also reduce their own mobile phone usage, especially until their children reach an age of understanding. Children should not be given mobile phones at all before the age of two. After the age of two, parents should ensure that phones are never given while eating or before bedtime, as the blue light is very harmful to the eyes and brain.
