ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held separate telephone conversations with his Egyptian and Turkish counterparts to discuss the evolving regional situation, stressing the need for dialogue and diplomacy to address growing tensions.

According to the Foreign Office, the discussions focused on recent developments in the region and their potential implications for peace and stability. Dar expressed concern over the volatile security environment and underscored the importance of exercising restraint to prevent further escalation.

The foreign minister emphasized that complex regional disputes can only be resolved through constructive engagement, diplomatic channels, and adherence to international law. He said continued dialogue among concerned parties remains essential for reducing tensions and promoting lasting peace.

During the conversations, the three ministers also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at fostering regional stability. They agreed on the importance of maintaining close coordination and consultation in light of the rapidly changing situation.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting peaceful conflict resolution and regional cooperation. He noted that Islamabad consistently advocates dialogue, confidence-building measures, and diplomatic engagement as the most effective means of addressing international disputes.

The Egyptian and Turkish foreign ministers shared their perspectives on recent developments and reiterated the importance of collective efforts to preserve peace and security in the region, according to official statements.

The diplomatic outreach comes amid heightened concerns over instability in parts of the Middle East and surrounding regions, prompting increased consultations among regional and international stakeholders seeking to prevent further deterioration of the security situation.
